  • Create hundreds of jobs in the City of Miami;
  • Summer employment, 1000 slots available in City of Miami;
  • City of Miami through Benefit Bank can prepare the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and also access residents to SNAP, Medicaid and other State Services;
  • Additional funding for: Section 8, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance, Head Start, Senior Nutrition Programs, Medicaid and After School Meals;
  • Additional funding for Job Training & Development through Work Force Florida;
  • Extended unemployment benefits for individuals from March 31, 2009 to December 31, 2009. That is an extension of 33 more weeks;
  • Additional federally funded $25 weekly unemployment available for individuals receiving unemployment.   ...more
